A Plentiful Harvest At Work
In the first service last year, Pastor Prince declared that it shall be The Year Of The Latter Rain, and shared that it was a time of harvesting for God’s people.
From March to April, I saw the manifestation of the latter rain in my career. I was conferred Sales Representative Of The Year, an award given to me during my company’s annual meeting. The events leading up to this award made it all the more significant.
The year before, I was moved into a new team. Apart from my role as a salesperson, everything else was different—I had a different manager, teammates and clients, and products to market. Needless to say, it was a challenge.
I even made a mistake that could have cost me my job. At that time, I remembered turning to the Lord in desperation. No one else could have been there for me except for the Lord. During that trying period, I truly saw the love of God being revealed to me.
One night, I attended a church meeting, and Ruth 3:18 was shared. The verse says, “…for the man will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day.” It was what I needed to hear that night. That moment made me see my relationship with Jesus and my career in a new light.
Eventually, the incident at work was addressed and I was able to hold on to my job. The fact that I was awarded the sales representative of the year after the challenges of the previous year was truly by God’s grace!
Additionally, two weeks after winning the award, I won another even more prestigious one. The Lord’s favour is on me, placing me at the right place at the right time. Indeed, in The Year Of The Latter Rain, I have reaped such a harvest, all by His grace. Praise be to the Lord!
