Experienced Acceleration In School And Work While Resting

Every year, Pastor Prince would share the theme of the year for the church, and in 2022, it was rest and acceleration. Usually, we will not know exactly how the theme would personally apply to us until we go through the year and realise how it has always been so on-point, and this is my testimony.

In early 2022, I was in London for a school exchange programme. Everything was going as planned until I caught Covid one week before my return to Singapore. It was also the week I had to submit the final assessment for one of my modules, and I could not do so as I became very ill.

It was one of the scariest moments in my life as I was all alone. But my family and friends stood in faith with me and sent me food supplies. I grew stronger by the day and felt restful on the inside. On day seven, I tested negative and could fly home as planned.

Not only so, but by the grace of God, I got an A- for the module for which I did not complete the assessment. I rested, and God accelerated.

Then in late 2022, three weeks into my new school semester, I had to go for surgery to remove my appendix. The Lord had protected me from the get-go as I had been involved in two full days of activities, but my inflamed appendix did not burst. It was only on the third day when the pain got so severe that I decided to visit the emergency unit.

Choosing the surgery was a tough decision as I had to rest for two to three months after that. But my school and work schedules had already been planned out till the end of the year.

On top of that, I was worried that I might not be fit enough to take on specific school modules and that my education awards would be clawed back as a result. But I knew that the Lord would not fail me.

Glory to God, the school's dean proposed a plan where I did not need to stay back for another semester, and he even ensured that my education awards would not be clawed back. Not only so, I was even able to showcase my final project for grading.

I believe that the Lord had made me "rest" mentally and physically through 2022, and He accelerated my grades and work, giving me good bosses who kept me employed throughout my ordeals.

Glory to God, and thank you, Pastor Prince, for letting God use you to remind us of His love.

Early in our marriage, our entire world crumbled when my husband left me for another woman. The pain was deep, leading to a two-year separation that brought us to the very brink of divorce.

But the Lord stepped in and turned things around. During that painful season, He did a deep work in my heart, bringing me complete healing and giving me the grace to forgive. Against all odds, He rekindled our love, and we fell in love all over again. My husband gave his life to Jesus and was water baptised right here in this church.

We started our lives afresh with no savings, no financial safety net and no master plan. Yet, the Lord faithfully provided for our needs, enabling my husband to complete his diploma, continue working and eventually earn his degree.

When we felt ready to trust God for a child, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which affected my fertility. As we continued taking our prescribed medication, we declared God’s promises over our bodies: The Lord fights for us. By His stripes, I am healed, and we shall not lack.

I vividly remember attending a service when Pastor Prince called for couples who were trusting God for a child to stand. We stood up, anchoring our faith in the Lord.

Some time later, we rejoiced over a positive pregnancy test, only to be heartbroken by a miscarriage four weeks later. It was a severe test of our faith. A couple of months later, as my husband walked across the stage at his graduation, we still felt a profound emptiness as we grieved our loss. Little did we know that God was already writing the next chapter. I was pregnant again!

Throughout this journey, we held fast to the truth of the divine exchange at the cross. Because Jesus gave His life for us, we knew we could trust Him for healing, restoration and the gift of a family.

The pregnancy wasn't easy. Just one week before delivery, a scan revealed that the umbilical cord was wrapped tightly around our baby's neck. But God had the final word! I went through an induced labour without an epidural and delivered our son naturally, with the cord completely clear of his neck!

God's timing was perfect, down to the smallest detail. Before our son was born, the Lord graciously blessed us with a new home and enabled my husband to complete his degree. And after eight long years of waiting, He blessed us with a healthy, adorable baby boy, whom we named Gabriel, meaning "God is my strength". Praise the Lord!

I am in my 60s, but I am still quite active and fit. Last November, I was admitted to hospital for the first time in my life after becoming very dizzy and breathless. It was discovered that my heart had been stopping intermittently and the doctor immediately inserted a temporary pacemaker.

During my hospitalisation, my family members, ministry pastor, leaders, friends, and the church’s prayer team all prayed for me. I am also so thankful to have sat under Pastor Prince’s ministry for more than 20 years. Despite the bad reports, I had peace, knowing that I am God’s beloved. Throughout the entire time, I continuously played Pastor Prince’s Healing Scriptures on the television in my room.

As the days passed, the doctors could not find the root cause of my condition and told me that the likelihood of needing a permanent pacemaker was high. One night, I came down with an infection and was immediately treated for it. The doctor then suspected that I might have contracted an infection while overseas months earlier, which had affected my heart.

After this episode, my heart started beating independently again, and I was discharged shortly afterwards. However, when I returned for my first 24-hour Holter monitor review, the results were very concerning. They found more than 2,000 heart pauses lasting longer than 2.5 seconds, with the longest pause lasting 4.9 seconds.

My doctor said that, based on those results, the probability of recovery was very low and that I would need a permanent pacemaker.

I decided, together with my doctor, to arrange a second 24-hour Holter monitor test about a month later and postpone the pacemaker surgery. I trusted that God would heal me completely and would not do an incomplete work. I continued to listen to Pastor Prince’s sermons, pray, meditate on healing scriptures, and partake of the holy Communion daily. I also submitted my prayer request for my heart to be completely restored.

On the day of the second Holter monitor review, by God’s grace, the report was good. The doctor said that no atrial fibrillation had been detected and that there was no heart blockage. Therefore, there was no need for a permanent pacemaker.

More recently, in April, I attended another follow-up review and received yet another good report from my doctor. God has healed my heart.

Praise the Lord! Thank You, Jesus! All glory to God.
