Husband's Supernatural Recovery From Open Skull Surgery

One night about a year ago, I was awoken by the sound of a door slamming open, followed by a loud thud. I rushed out and saw my husband collapsed on the ground, face down. I immediately called an ambulance. He was bleeding from his left ear and said his head was in pain.

At the hospital, I sat alone outside the emergency unit. I refused to Google his condition to guard my heart and thoughts. Instead, I meditated on God’s promises. The neurosurgeon told me scans showed a brain bleed and fractures in his skull and left temporal bone. Surgery wasn’t needed at first, but when the pain didn’t improve the next day, doctors ordered an angiogram. That night, I received a call that the bleeding had worsened, and my husband needed emergency brain surgery.

I managed to say a prayer with him before he was wheeled into the operating theatre. While waiting, I listened to worship songs and continued meditating on the same verses. I also had a vision of us trekking—something we both loved to do—and I held on tightly to that vision. The surgery was successful, but the doctor couldn’t predict the outcome. His brain was badly bruised and swollen, with potential long-term impairments. It was emotionally draining, but I was thankful for our church leaders and life group who kept praying for us.

Our church leaders also visited my husband in the hospital and even quoted the same verse that I had been meditating on! And just as they rejected death in prayer, my husband’s chest jerked upwards, and his brain pressure readings began to drop. At that moment, I felt an unexplainable peace—I knew God was in control.

From then on, my husband improved by leaps and bounds. His breathing tube was removed the next day. The angiogram and tests showed no underlying issues. He was discharged within days!

Now, he takes long walks with me daily. His focus, vision, and mental alertness continue to improve. Recently, we even signed up for a duathlon together, with him running 10km! No one would guess he had undergone major brain surgery. Even the doctors are amazed at his progress.

Another incredible part of this journey: my father, who witnessed my husband’s miracle, declared that he wanted a relationship with Jesus. I was stunned! Since then, he’s been hungry for the Word and hasn’t missed a single church service. It’s truly amazing how God works in wondrous ways. All glory to Him!

Early in our marriage, our entire world crumbled when my husband left me for another woman. The pain was deep, leading to a two-year separation that brought us to the very brink of divorce.

But the Lord stepped in and turned things around. During that painful season, He did a deep work in my heart, bringing me complete healing and giving me the grace to forgive. Against all odds, He rekindled our love, and we fell in love all over again. My husband gave his life to Jesus and was water baptised right here in this church.

We started our lives afresh with no savings, no financial safety net and no master plan. Yet, the Lord faithfully provided for our needs, enabling my husband to complete his diploma, continue working and eventually earn his degree.

When we felt ready to trust God for a child, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which affected my fertility. As we continued taking our prescribed medication, we declared God’s promises over our bodies: The Lord fights for us. By His stripes, I am healed, and we shall not lack.

I vividly remember attending a service when Pastor Prince called for couples who were trusting God for a child to stand. We stood up, anchoring our faith in the Lord.

Some time later, we rejoiced over a positive pregnancy test, only to be heartbroken by a miscarriage four weeks later. It was a severe test of our faith. A couple of months later, as my husband walked across the stage at his graduation, we still felt a profound emptiness as we grieved our loss. Little did we know that God was already writing the next chapter. I was pregnant again!

Throughout this journey, we held fast to the truth of the divine exchange at the cross. Because Jesus gave His life for us, we knew we could trust Him for healing, restoration and the gift of a family.

The pregnancy wasn't easy. Just one week before delivery, a scan revealed that the umbilical cord was wrapped tightly around our baby's neck. But God had the final word! I went through an induced labour without an epidural and delivered our son naturally, with the cord completely clear of his neck!

God's timing was perfect, down to the smallest detail. Before our son was born, the Lord graciously blessed us with a new home and enabled my husband to complete his degree. And after eight long years of waiting, He blessed us with a healthy, adorable baby boy, whom we named Gabriel, meaning "God is my strength". Praise the Lord!

I am in my 60s, but I am still quite active and fit. Last November, I was admitted to hospital for the first time in my life after becoming very dizzy and breathless. It was discovered that my heart had been stopping intermittently and the doctor immediately inserted a temporary pacemaker.

During my hospitalisation, my family members, ministry pastor, leaders, friends, and the church’s prayer team all prayed for me. I am also so thankful to have sat under Pastor Prince’s ministry for more than 20 years. Despite the bad reports, I had peace, knowing that I am God’s beloved. Throughout the entire time, I continuously played Pastor Prince’s Healing Scriptures on the television in my room.

As the days passed, the doctors could not find the root cause of my condition and told me that the likelihood of needing a permanent pacemaker was high. One night, I came down with an infection and was immediately treated for it. The doctor then suspected that I might have contracted an infection while overseas months earlier, which had affected my heart.

After this episode, my heart started beating independently again, and I was discharged shortly afterwards. However, when I returned for my first 24-hour Holter monitor review, the results were very concerning. They found more than 2,000 heart pauses lasting longer than 2.5 seconds, with the longest pause lasting 4.9 seconds.

My doctor said that, based on those results, the probability of recovery was very low and that I would need a permanent pacemaker.

I decided, together with my doctor, to arrange a second 24-hour Holter monitor test about a month later and postpone the pacemaker surgery. I trusted that God would heal me completely and would not do an incomplete work. I continued to listen to Pastor Prince’s sermons, pray, meditate on healing scriptures, and partake of the holy Communion daily. I also submitted my prayer request for my heart to be completely restored.

On the day of the second Holter monitor review, by God’s grace, the report was good. The doctor said that no atrial fibrillation had been detected and that there was no heart blockage. Therefore, there was no need for a permanent pacemaker.

More recently, in April, I attended another follow-up review and received yet another good report from my doctor. God has healed my heart.

Praise the Lord! Thank You, Jesus! All glory to God.
