No Stents Required
Not long ago, during my routine check-up with my cardiologist, he asked for my latest medical report. When he reviewed it, he noticed that my sugar and bad cholesterol levels were high and arranged for me to undergo more tests. A few weeks later, the doctor told me that two to three of my blood vessels were clogged—one was about 90 per cent blocked, while the others were around 70 per cent blocked.
He scheduled an angioplasty for me a week later. It was a scary time. But I decided to continue serving in church. I also reminded myself that as Christ is, so am I in this world.
On Sunday, 16 February 2025, while serving in the first service, I prayed that there would be a ministering session where my condition would be called out. Somehow, it happened and Pastor Prince called out my exact condition! I felt a warm sensation wash over me, and tears filled my eyes. I had to step away to calm myself down.
That week, when I saw my cardiologist, he asked if I wanted to proceed with the procedure. I told him I would—and that there would be a miracle. He informed me that I would need up to three stents, but if my vessels were too severely blocked, he might have to abort the procedure and schedule a bypass surgery instead. Again, I declared that a miracle would happen and that I wouldn’t need any stents because I was already healed.
On the day of the procedure, I prayed for God’s favour and shalom, believing that I would need as few stents as possible, or none at all.
At 9.30am, I went in for the procedure. By 11.30am, the doctor woke me up with good news—he had only performed one balloon angioplasty to enlarge my vessel, and no stents were needed! At my post-op review, the doctor confirmed that I was in the clear—the remaining blockages were very minor.
Truly, all glory to Abba! He has the final say! I am so thankful to be rooted in New Creation Church.
