A few years ago, my father passed away very suddenly  and I was completely bereft. I turned to alcohol to get through the dark days. I would drink to the point of not being able to remember things the next day. I was so ashamed of my behaviour, but no matter how hard I tried, I simply could not stop.

I have been a Christian since childhood. In this dark time, I would beg the Lord for help and attend Christian conferences, seeking prayer for deliverance, but nothing worked.

A year after my dad's passing and in the throes of a serious alcohol problem, I started listening to Pastor Prince’s sermons on YouTube. Then, I came across Pastor Prince’s sermon titled, "Five Words To Live By (The Battle Is The Lord's)”.

In the message, Pastor Prince taught from the life of King Jehoshaphat and said that whatever battle we are fighting, including addictions, it was not ours to fight, but God's. He also mentioned how our natural tendency is to do something, but God wants us to hold our peace and let Him do all the work so that He gets all the glory. That sermon changed my life! I have listened to it so many times that I literally know the whole sermon by heart, word for word.

My situation did not change immediately. I continued to drink heavily, but regardless, I held on for dear life to the teachings in this sermon. Every time I drank, I would confess that this battle belongs to God and my eyes are on my heavenly Father.

I also bought Pastor Prince’s book Destined To Reign after hearing him share a testimony of a brother who was delivered from smoking after reading the book. I started to declare that there was no more condemnation in my life, and that I'm perfectly righteous in Christ, even if I felt completely wretched and ashamed for failing yet again.

Then, one day, all of a sudden, I lost the desire to drink. Just like that. All the desire left! It was exactly what Pastor Prince mentioned that true deliverance is not you fighting the desire in you; but it is when the desire leaves. Hallelujah! Now it no longer matters whether there is alcohol around me. Other people might be drinking, but I am completely indifferent to it.

What freedom! Pastor Prince, that sermon of yours needs to be shared at every alcoholics anonymous meeting worldwide! I'm so happy to be partnering with your amazing ministry so that these life-changing messages can reach other people in their times of darkness.

Since I was 17 years old, I started using drugs. Prior to that, I was already watching porn. At 23 years old, I received Christ as Saviour. However, I continued to struggle with my addictions, even after I got married.

I even stopped going to church for a few years. In 2014, I first heard Pastor Joseph Prince’s message of grace. I was still an addict then, and would often get high on drugs before going to church.

I even hit rock bottom, without any control over my addictions. But I remembered Pastor Prince talk about confessing that we are the righteousness of God in Christ.

I constantly reminded myself not to judge myself based on my conditions but continue to confess that I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and that I am anointed, chosen, and forgiven in Him.

After six months of right believing, my drug addiction of 10 years completely disappeared. Every time I am tempted to fall into sin, I also remember that as He is, so am I in this world. When I finally realised my identity in Christ, all of my other addictions left me. I felt weird at first. What used to give me pleasure, such as a cigarette, no longer had the same effect on me.

I did not do anything to help myself, but the Lord did it anyway. All glory to Him! Today, I am serving at my church in Mexico, and living a set-free life!

Addictions completely gone after finding his identity in Christ

I grew up with a very abusive and toxic childhood, and adulthood wasn’t any better. As I tried to get my abusers to love me and see that I was a good person, I ended up smoking cigarettes and pot at 12. I also went through a series of emotionally isolating and abusive relationships with friends and men I dated. I was stuck in cycles of shame, self-sabotage, and condemnation.

I started watching Joseph Prince Ministries a few years ago and gave my life to Christ as a result of hearing the messages about God’s grace and Jesus’ finished work on the cross. I’m happy to report that after years of trying to get freedom and healing on my own, I have been delivered from 40 years of pot and nicotine addiction after learning about the unconditional love Father God has for me and Jesus’ love demonstrated by His life, death, and resurrection. I was also delivered from a dangerous relationship.

A few months ago, I suffered from pain in my knees and other parts of my body. I continued to pray and receive Communion daily. While watching one of Pastor Prince’s broadcast messages, where he preached about Jesus being the payment for our health, he mentioned that God was healing someone’s knees of pain. I whispered to myself with excitement saying, “That’s my healing. Glory be to God, amen!”

Immediately, my knees began to feel better, but they were still stiff. Two days later, I noticed the stiffness was almost completely gone when I walked around. Thank You, Jesus. Thank you, Pastor Prince. May God continue to bless your ministry without limits!

I experienced a slipped disc several months ago, and although I have since recovered, I remain cautious about making sudden movements that could strain my lower back. Whenever I feel a slight, dull pain in that area, I become anxious, fearing a relapse of my slipped disc.

On Saturday, 24 June, I started experiencing a dull pain in my lower back. The next day, during the church service, Pastor Prince encouraged the congregation to place their hands on any part of their bodies that had pain. Without hesitation, I put my hand on my lower back, where the pain was.

After Pastor Prince rebuked the pain and prayed over it, I decided to step out in faith and move my body in ways that would typically cause pain. Miraculously, I did not experience any pain throughout the entire day on Sunday. The pain was completely gone!

I had been experiencing shoulder pain for a very long time. Despite taking oral medication and using medicated plasters, nothing helped.

On Sunday, 25 June, I tuned in to New Creation Church Online. When Pastor Prince asked those who had pain in their bodies to place their hands on the afflicted area, I immediately placed my hands on my shoulders.

Then, as Pastor Prince prayed for the conditions, I stood in faith and believed that all the symptoms that I was experiencing were lies from the enemy. I took authority and confessed that I have perfect health because of Jesus’ finished work on the cross.

Even though I was seated in front of my TV, I could feel my body trembling. After that, the pain in my shoulders completely disappeared.
