My father had always been against Christianity and he would scold those who tried to evangelise to him.

Around three to four years ago, he was diagnosed with late stage lymphoma (a cancer that attacks the body’s immune system). The doctors had no solution nor was anyone confident of my father’s survival.

He eventually went for chemotherapy. Things seemed fine at the beginning. I tried to share with him about Christ, but was rejected over and over again. After a lengthy period of treatment, things turned for the worse. My father was in immense pain and regularly stayed in the hospital. On top of that, the side effects of the treatment also affected his mental capacity. It caused much distress in the family.

The turnaround came when I felt the Holy Spirit prompt me that it was time for my father to be saved. I contacted New Creation Church’s Chinese Ministry and arranged for volunteers to come to my parents’ place.

The moment they spoke to my father, I could tell that there was a peace upon him. They were chatting, then a miracle happened—the volunteers invited my parents to say the salvation prayer and both of them accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour!

The volunteers also prayed for my father’s condition. By God’s grace, two years after that meeting, my father has no more symptoms of lymphoma. All glory to Jesus!

I would often suffer from severe muscle aches due to the many physical training modules I took in school.

I had been hearing sermons about the Holy Communion and the testimonies shared in church. One evening, I decided to partake of the Holy Communion and pray for my severe muscle aches to go away as I had been having trouble walking throughout the day. Immediately after partaking of the Holy Communion, I got up from the chair and I could no longer feel the pain! My muscles were also no longer tense, and I could jump and walk normally!

I’m an international student and have been studying in Singapore for nine years. When I entered polytechnic, my mother who had been with me had to go back home, and I was left to take care of myself.

Soon after she left, I had a major emotional breakdown as I couldn’t adjust. I was also physically exhausted as I had to juggle between school and a part-time job.

Things got so bad that I couldn’t attend school for two weeks. At work, I would get angry over minute things and scold my customers, colleagues and even my managers. I felt extremely apprehensive and hopeless. There were days when little things would drive me to tears, and it was hard to see any way out. I hated myself for being like that.

I was attending a church at that time. However, I did not fully understand the Lord’s love for me. I developed a bitterness towards God as I felt like He did not care about my feelings.

During this time, Pastor Prince’s sermons kept coming to mind. Earlier in the year, I had watched his sermons and I did not expect that his messages would bear witness to my spirit, and linger in my heart and mind.

I decided to attend New Creation Church, just to try it out. On Sunday, 17 December 2017, I attended the 4th service alone. After that service, I felt an unspeakable peace. I started to attend more regularly and in 2018, I made New Creation Church my home church. I also joined a care group for youths.

Today, by God’s grace, I am receiving more and more revelations of God’s unreserved love for me. In the past, I used to try very hard to get right with God, but now, I know that I am totally forgiven, eternally righteous and forever accepted because of Jesus’ finished work. Whenever worrisome thoughts hit me, I would always remind myself that God loves me. Thank you, Pastor Prince, for preaching on the pure grace of God! It has transformed my life.

In 2014, I was pregnant and had a detailed scanning done at the 20th week of my pregnancy. The doctor told my husband and me that our baby had a short femur. As I was turning 40, I faced a very high risk of having complications during pregnancy. Thus, the doctor referred me to a specialist and they concluded that my baby was four weeks behind normal growth, meaning that his legs and arms looked like he was 16 weeks old instead of 20 weeks old — with the likelihood that he could be a dwarf!

To confirm this, the doctors suggested that I take a test which was invasive to both the adult and baby, to determine if my genes or my husband’s genes had a family history of dwarfism, and if my baby was really a dwarf. If the result was positive, my husband and I could then make a decision to keep or abort the baby.

We were devastated by the heartbreaking news as we had found out that I was pregnant on Christmas Day, and believed that our baby was a gift from God.

Finally, my husband and I decided to keep our baby and not go for further tests. We trusted that God would make this precious gift PERFECT for us and give us a normal child. We claimed His promises in Psalm 139:1 and Psalm 139:5 (NLT), “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me… You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.”

We continued to rest in the Lord and knew that as long as we rest in His love for us, we are protected from all harm. In August 2014, I went through an emergency caesarean birth. Miraculously, a healthy baby was born. He is currently 22 months old, a healthy and happy boy, blessed with brains and good looks. To God be all the glory!

Twenty-one years ago, I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. However, I believed that I could never live up to the expectations of what it means to be a Christian and decided to leave church three years later.

In April 2019, I decided to attend the Resurrection Sunday service in New Creation Church. During the service, tears trickled down uncontrollably as I realised how much I needed God and His love for me. I also realised that God had never left me all these years. Since that day, I have been attending church and learning about God’s grace. I can’t say enough how much I have been blessed to be a part of this church, and to have God back in my life again. Hallelujah!
