Be encouraged by these stories of the Lord’s goodness and let them plant hope in your heart.
After several unsuccessful fertility treatments and a pregnancy loss, Chrystella and Louis were devastated and heartbroken. Though they struggled with feelings of self-blame and helplessness, they held on to the Lord’s promise to them.Watch how the Lord turned their situation around as they kept their eyes on Him and trusted in His faithfulness.
I left my company during a corporate restructuring. Around the same time, my mother fell ill and was admitted to a hospital, so I had to put my job hunting on hold.
Several months later, I resumed my job search, updating my résumé and attending workshops to enhance my skills. Although I started out feeling encouraged and enthusiastic about finding a new job, my applications were either rejected before reaching the interview stage or left under review. I received several calls from recruiters, but was unsuccessful in securing interviews. This left me feeling very discouraged, and I began to feel condemned for leaving my job the previous year. I even questioned whether my age was a barrier to finding a new opportunity.
However, God never forsook me during this season. I included my desire for a job as one of my prayer requests for the year 2024. I was also strengthened by His words of encouragement through various channels—sermons by our pastors during church services, testimonies, prayers from my church family, support from my loved ones, worship songs, and much more. These helped me to build my faith and patiently trust in what God had prepared for me.
Even though I was worried about my finances and supporting my household, I held on to the promise in Psalm 23:1 that the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not lack, and learned to remain content despite small beginnings.
By God’s grace, I was granted an interview opportunity with a company near my home. Feeling unprepared, I prayed in tongues and entrusted the interview into His hands.
A week later, I received a job offer! I accepted it and signed the letter of employment for this full-time opportunity within a week. I am now enjoying myself in my new job. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for hearing and answering my prayer request!
Not only that, but my mother, who had been unwell, was also discharged and fully recovered. All glory and praise to our Lord!
Thank you to our pastors for always encouraging us and to my brothers- and sisters-in-Christ for standing in faith with me.
At the beginning of the year, I attended my first-ever church service. Initially, I was a little doubtful about whether church was the right place for me as I had only recently become a Christian.
However, when Pastor Prince invited us to bring our three prayer requests to the Lord for the new year, I decided to follow along and prayed for good O-level results.
A few days later, we received our results, and I was absolutely shocked—in a good way—to see that I had passed with flying colours!
Praise the Lord! Now, I know that the Spirit of God truly dwells in all of us and that He hears all our prayers. Amen. God is good, and He is great!
I accepted Christ at 16, but did not attend church regularly. At 30, a friend brought me to New Creation Church, but I was still irregular in my attendance.
Back then, I was weighed down by frustrations, feeling as though the world was against me. I always blamed people and society for my problems. Even as a child, I felt my parents favoured my younger brother.
When I was 35, I started my own business and demanded money from my parents, which my dad willingly gave. Initially, I had some success, but I squandered it on alcohol and women. As my business declined, I again demanded money from my dad, who never refused.
Poor financial decisions left me in serious debt. Feeling hopeless, I cried out to God, even blaming Him. When debt collectors began to hound me, I returned home, seeking help and comfort. Without hesitation, my dad paid off my debts and welcomed me back with open arms.
I picked myself up and started attending church regularly. One Sunday, Pastor Prince shared the parable of the prodigal son, and I realised—I was that prodigal son. And it wasn’t just my dad; my heavenly Father, my Abba, had also been waiting for me to return to His loving arms.
As Pastor Prince preached, I wept, realising how good God had been to me all my life, always waiting for me to come back. I committed to attending church regularly, and life began to change. My relationship with my family improved, I bought a fully paid-for house, and saw my income increase—all blessings from the Lord.
Both my parents also accepted Christ. My dad even got baptised before he passed away and I know that we will meet again in heaven.
Recently, I even started serving. I can see how much God loves me. I know He will continue to bless me and my family with wave upon wave of favour.
Thank you, Pastor Prince, for your sermons and for New Creation Church, my spiritual family, which I am honoured to be a part of. Praise the Lord!
More than a decade ago, I graduated from college and embarked on a promising career as a registered nurse. However, by the age of 28, I found myself ensnared in the clutches of addiction, struggling with both drugs and alcohol. This tumultuous path eventually led to the loss of my professional licence and imprisonment.
During my time in prison, a glimmer of hope emerged as inmates were given access to tablets. I stumbled upon the life-changing messages of Pastor Prince. Through his grace-filled teachings, I discovered the liberating truth of being a new creation in Christ.
At the age of 35, I began my journey to recovery. Previous attempts with traditional Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous programmes were unsuccessful as I struggled with the idea of declaring myself an addict. However, through the gospel of grace, I learned to identify myself as a king-priest, a beloved child of God, and the disciple whom Jesus loves.
Daily communion and immersion in grace-filled messages became my lifeline. Some may say I go a bit overboard, but as a Gospel Partner, I find immense joy in listening to these messages all day long. From a penniless and jobless past marked by involvement in undesirable activities, I have been elevated to the position of director even though I was applying for the position of secretary—truly a testament to the transformative power of grace and truth.
I am proud to celebrate one year of sobriety. The voices that once haunted me are now replaced with the assurance of being loved by God. I have been set free from the chains of addiction, I no longer need medication, and even my obesity has been defeated.
Through the stability found in righteousness, I continue to discover the perfection of that one act of obedience on the cross 2,000 years ago. I realise that the more I listen, the more I begin to see the superabounding grace that is always here for me because I have His favour. I am eternally grateful for Pastor Prince and his team who have been instruments of God’s grace in my life.
In closing, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire community. Thank you for being vessels of God’s love and grace and for contributing to the profound change in my life. May the gospel continue to reach and transform many more lives.
No longer addicted, life transformed
Several years ago, I experienced severe swelling and urinary retention. After undergoing a battery of tests, I was diagnosed with kidney damage. One doctor who conducted the initial tests bluntly commented that my damaged kidneys were irreparable, likening them to a broken water filter.
Then, I was thrust into a barrage of medical procedures, including a renal biopsy, surgery for dialysis catheter insertion, harsh medications, and multiple blood draws. While preparing myself for dialysis, the machine persistently failed to extract fluids from my body.
The medical team couldn’t identify the cause and decided to pause dialysis, opting instead for intravenous (IV) drips and medication as a temporary measure.
In desperation, I cried out to God and drew on the promises of healing taught at New Creation Church. I also reached out to the church’s prayer helpline for support. I meditated on God’s healing verses and partook of the holy Communion with my husband every day.
Miraculously, I began passing urine before the hospital could put me back on dialysis. The doctors were surprised and continued with IV drips and medication treatment without dialysis. After a month of progress in the hospital, I was discharged.
As my condition improved over the years, my heavy medication regimen was reduced from three strong courses daily to just one mild dose a day, and my monthly check-ups became half-yearly.
At my recent hospital visit, the doctor confirmed that my condition is stable, and I was discharged from hospital care, with only half-yearly check-ups at the polyclinic from now on.
I thank God for delivering me through those times of darkness and turning what seemed like impossible problems into blessings. Just as God can fix anything—yes, including a broken water filter—He allowed me to experience the miraculous restoration of my kidney function. I’m deeply grateful to New Creation Church for teaching us about God’s healing promises. My heartfelt thanks also go to the helpline prayer warriors.
My husband and I have since found our spiritual home in New Creation Church, where we experience joy in the much-anticipated Sunday worship services and loving care group fellowship. To God be the glory!
