After several unsuccessful fertility treatments and a pregnancy loss, Chrystella and Louis were devastated and heartbroken. Though they struggled with feelings of self-blame and helplessness, they held on to the Lord’s promise to them.Watch how the Lord turned their situation around as they kept their eyes on Him and trusted in His faithfulness.
In July last year, I started to experience a sharp pain on the right side of my bottom after a night sleeping in a bad position. It happened on a Saturday. By Monday, I could not move about freely due to the pain. Standing, walking, and driving became difficult and I had trouble sleeping as well.
Throughout the week, I partook of the Holy Communion with my family, believing for the pain to go. However, it persisted.
On Sunday morning, during worship, I had a feeling God was going to heal me.
Halfway through the sermon, Pastor Prince stopped and pointed to exactly where I was feeling the pain. He then called for those who are experiencing these pains to stand up and receive their healing. He even mentioned about not being able to sleep well.
I hesitated to stand but Pastor Prince kept calling out the same condition. I knew that there was no running away, and felt the Lord prompting me to stand.
Pastor Prince turned towards me as he was praying for those who stood up and declared that I was free from backaches. I remember feeling a numbness running through me, from my right waist all the way down to my right foot. There was also a hot sensation in my body.
I knew right there and then that the Lord was healing me completely. After the service, I could walk normally without the pain or tightness I was suffering from for the past week.
I continued to believe and pray for a complete healing for my back as I also have a slipped disc, which was causing discomfort. Today, I am completely healed from my backaches, and functioning even better than before!
I was retrenched in July last year. Shortly after I was retrenched, I was contacted by a company through an online platform. They commented that I was the right fit for the role they were looking to hire. When asked about my expected salary, I had quoted a figure that was lesser than what I previously drew as I did not want to price myself out of the job market.
In September, I attended service and as usual, Pastor Prince prayed over the congregation at the end. At the end of his prayer, he encouraged those who were retrenched to not settle for less.
To my delight, after attending that service in September, the company returned with an offer that was equal to my last-drawn pay. My yearly salary also included an additional month of bonus which I did not have previously. On top of that, I would also receive allowances from the company.
All glory to God!
Since December last year, I’ve not been in the best of health. It started when I went for a minor surgery. A couple of days later, I had difficulties clearing the pressure in my ear. As a result, I felt dizzy.
The doctors could not find anything wrong with me, but the condition persisted. Then, a chronic backache returned and I was in pain for several days, which required me to lie down for long periods of time. When I was feeling better from the backache, I came down with a bad bout of cough and fever. The cough was so bad that it kept me awake most nights. I even pulled a muscle due to it.
The cough got better after a week on antibiotics. Two days later, I started feeling unwell again. I felt so weak that even doing simple housework would leave me breathless. Due to the health issues, I was unable to go to work. I got really worried as I’d missed four weeks already. I’d never been this sick before.
I felt disheartened and wondered why I was sick so often. During this period, I took the Holy Communion more than once a day, each time declaring that by Jesus’ stripes, I am healed. However, I did not seem to be getting better.
Just before Chinese New Year, my family planned a short trip together. Tickets were booked in advance, but I was unsure if I could make it for the trip. Even on the day of departure, I was feeling unwell. Nonetheless, I went ahead as I did not want to disappoint my family. I did not attend church that day as we had to be at the airport.
My sister, who attended the first service, sent me a text telling me that Pastor Prince said, “If you find yourself falling sick often, know that the Lord is bringing you to a new level of health.” As I read the text, I said amen, receiving this timely word for myself.
Immediately, I felt the weakness and symptoms of my sicknesses leaving me and I felt my energy restored. I did not have any ear problems during the flight. Throughout the trip, I was able to do everything with my family. The word was given in church and I had received it at the airport. Jesus is indeed the Lord of time and space. Thank you, Pastor Prince, for your faithfulness in revealing the Word of God and for bringing us closer to Jesus!
In November last year, my husband and I travelled to Hong Kong together with our team to conduct a workshop. There was much unrest in Hong Kong as protests were going on. Just two days prior to our flight there, a big protest took place next to the apartment we booked.
Due to the situation, even concerts were cancelled. Despite that, the organiser of the workshop told us that the situation had calmed down, and advised us to proceed on with our plans.
By God’s grace, we were able to carry out our workshop as scheduled. What was even more amazing was the fact that there was no riot or protest when we were there. According to our Hong Kong partner, the week that we were there happened to be one of the most peaceful weeks in six months.
We realised that it was also the voting weekend in Hong Kong, and there were speculations that the next protest was taking place a day after we left the country.
Pastor Prince always reminds us that we are greatly blessed and highly favoured because of Christ’s finished work. During the trip, I felt so well-protected by God. What seemed like the most dangerous place became a place of peace for us!
On top of that, our workshop was packed, and it was a success. Praise the Lord!
In the first service last year, Pastor Prince declared that it shall be The Year Of The Latter Rain, and shared that it was a time of harvesting for God’s people.
From March to April, I saw the manifestation of the latter rain in my career. I was conferred Sales Representative Of The Year, an award given to me during my company’s annual meeting. The events leading up to this award made it all the more significant.
The year before, I was moved into a new team. Apart from my role as a salesperson, everything else was different—I had a different manager, teammates and clients, and products to market. Needless to say, it was a challenge.
I even made a mistake that could have cost me my job. At that time, I remembered turning to the Lord in desperation. No one else could have been there for me except for the Lord. During that trying period, I truly saw the love of God being revealed to me.
One night, I attended a church meeting, and Ruth 3:18 was shared. The verse says, “…for the man will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day.” It was what I needed to hear that night. That moment made me see my relationship with Jesus and my career in a new light.
Eventually, the incident at work was addressed and I was able to hold on to my job. The fact that I was awarded the sales representative of the year after the challenges of the previous year was truly by God’s grace!
Additionally, two weeks after winning the award, I won another even more prestigious one. The Lord’s favour is on me, placing me at the right place at the right time. Indeed, in The Year Of The Latter Rain, I have reaped such a harvest, all by His grace. Praise be to the Lord!
